In October of 2005, I purchased a one-way plane ticket from San Francisco to London.

After a few days in London, I caught a second flight to Barcelona and from there I traveled overland across Europe, through the Middle East and then down the east coast of Africa, finishing in Cape Town.

After 250 days on the road, 10,000 miles covered on public transportation, 11,000 photos taken, 208 blog entries, 1 lost water bottle and 1 lost flashlight, these are the photos.
